Delhi Bible Institute, one of the first Christian organisations in the capital, had its humble beginning in the year 1954, in a rented shop in the locality of Jor Bagh Market in central New Delhi. The work of DBI was founded by the local church, now known as Bible Bhavan Christian Fellowship, which still continues to work in close co-operation with the Institute. The hand of the Lord was evident even in this small beginning and it's work steadily progressed under His blessing.
